What Is the Importance of Prophethood

INTRODUCTION:

Ever since the creation of man as His Khalifa of this universe, Allah has been sending his messengers, known as Rasul or Prophets, across this universe. Hazrat Adam was the first messenger of Allah to arrive on this planet (May Allah Bless him). A total of 1,24,000 prophets are claimed to have appeared after him and up until the time of the last prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Occasionally, more than one prophet appeared simultaneously with various groups of people.

Some of these prophets are very well-known, and Allah has named them and highlighted significant occasions in the Holy Qur’an. Only the Holy Quran is secure from modification among all the prophets who received sacred Books and Sahifas. All other books, however, have been altered by people to suit their own needs. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is now the last one with us, holding the Holy Quran in one hand and His Sunnah in the other for the Ummah.

This is why these Books have lost their originality, with the exception of the Holy Quran. This Holy Prophet (PBUH) loved his Ummah so much that he made every effort to convert even the most immoral person to Islam. He overcame such opposition from the populace that no precedent can be discovered in the annals of man. Now, the question is: Why was it necessary for Allah to send His prophets to the people?

The requirement for messengers:

1. Allah wished to show the bounties of His nature to His universe. And messengers were to be used to do it.
2. When humanity was on the verge of entering hell due to their terrible activities, Allah intended to save them. He dispatched his messengers, who showed the populace the way to paradise.
3. At Lohi Mahfooz, Allah wished to give the people access to all of the blessings He had stored up for them with Him in the seventh sky. This included the Holy Quran. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the special messenger who carried out this mission.
4. Through His messengers, Allah was to teach the inhabitants of this universe the symbiotic system He had used to create both this earth and the entire cosmos. so that they can comprehend societal structures and demonstrate that they are superior beings to angels.
5. Everything in this universe was created by Allah according to a predetermined order, and nothing is worthless or useless. Everything has been set up in a way that follows a specific logic and leads to a specific occurrence. Every event that occurs in our environment has a cause and an effect, with one serving as the cause and the other as the link between them. The messengers of Allah explained this reasoning to the populace.
6. The message of Allah was sent through these messengers, and as a result, whatever transpires in life beyond death would also follow a similar pattern. that everyone will be rewarded or punished in this world in accordance with their actions.
7. Allah intended to test men by showing them who was right and who was wrong. Through His messengers, He revealed to them the distinction between right and wrong for this purpose, which they carried out completely sincerely.

When viewed in the context of the Qur’an:

1. Allah stated, “And we did not send you to save as a grace for the people of the worlds,” in Surah Ambia ayat number 107.

وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ اِلَّا رَحۡمَةً لِّـلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۷

اور (اے محمدﷺ) ہم نے تم کو تمام جہان کے لئے رحمت (بنا کر) بھیجا ہے ﴿۱۰۷

According to this passage, the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) position is that of a courteous person who is simply there for the people. He is not to hold them accountable, condemn them, or mistreat them. But he must show mercy and demonstrate his fortitude in the face of their impending inhumane treatment. The popularity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and of Islam was a result of His behavior, which was the most benevolent to the populace. Thus, individuals who converted to Islam never turned back to their previous unfaithfulness.

2. Allah said, “Definitely, you are on the high standard of good conduct,” in Surah Noor.

اِنَک علی خلق عظیم ۔

بالیقین آپﷺ اخلاق حسنہ کے اعلی پیمانہ پر ہیں۔

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is referred to as a moral role model and a benchmark for all people in this sacred verse. The Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) treatment of the unbelievers was so admirable that even they gave Him praise.

3. Allah said in Surah Inam ayat 161: “You say that my Lord has set me on the straight road.”

قُلۡ اِنَّنِىۡ هَدٰٮنِىۡ رَبِّىۡۤ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ‌ۚ

کہہ دو کہ مجھے میرے پروردگار نے سیدھا رستہ دکھا دیا ہے (یعنی دین صحیح)

This holy passage makes it clear that Allah has provided proof that He has guided His prophet, which is why He is on the correct course. Anything he says is not His personal whim; rather, it is God’s command.

4. Allah stated in Surah Nisa that “one who obeyed the messenger he obeyed The Allah”

قل ان کنتم تحبون اللہ فاتبعونی یحبکم اللہ و یغفر لکم ذنوبکم و اللہ غفور رحیم

آپ فرما دیجے کہ اگر تم خدا سے محبت رکھتے ہو تو تم میری اتباع کرو خدا تم سے محبت کرنے لگیں گے اور تمہارے سب گناہوں کو معاف کر دیں گے اور اللہ تعالی بڑے معاف کرنیوالے اوربڑی عنایت فرمانے والے ہیں۔

It is evident from this text that submission to the Holy Prophet (PBUH)means submission to the Lord.

FINDINGS:

According to the references in the Holy Quran mentioned above,

1. Obeying the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is equivalent to obeying Allah.
2. A person who disobeyed the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will not find favor with God.
3. The path of justice is followed by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Therefore, whatever he said and did was in accordance with God’s will.
4. No one can compare to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) moral behavior, which was of such a high caliber. Because of this, it may be argued that the morality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was and still is the best for all people in the world.
5. Allah has summed up the function of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by saying that He is nothing but grace and blessing for all peoples, nations, and generations of the globe.
6. A person who obeyed the Holy Prophet (PBUH) also obeyed Allah, and as a result, obedience to the Sunnah and the Holy Quran came to be equivalent

With reference to the Sunnah, the Prophet-hood:

I. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) consistently stated in His sayings that He was a servant of Allah.
2. He never chose to sit above the crowd in order to be more prominently viewed. He sat amid the crowd on the same mat and ground, making no distinction between the Prophet’s (PBUH) followers and himself.
3. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) excavated the trench in the battle of the trenches, taking responsibility for whatever portion fell under his share. While the Sahaba has tied one stone to hide the effects of hunger, two stones were tied to His stomach.
4. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) carried out his responsibility to demonstrate His sincerity and intimate attachment to the Sahaba while assigning various tasks of cooking meals to various Sahaba during a war.
5. A cup of milk was once given to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) while he was sitting with Sahaba. He skipped the first sip. When only a few drops remained, which he drank last, he offered them to the person sitting in the right seat and told everyone else to take turns drinking. This precedent also shows how highly he regarded his Sahaba, as this example is never found in the histories of monarchs, rulers, or presidents who profess to be democratic representatives of their nations.

CONCLUSION:

This consideration of the entire chapter leads us to the following conclusions:

1. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was created with all of the characteristics of a human being.
2. Allah has given his blessing to all of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) customs.
3. The Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) words and deeds were all inspired by His Lord.
4. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) possessed the highest moral standard among human beings, as evidenced by his life history.
5. The obedience of Allah is equivalent to the obedience of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
6. No act will be accepted on the Day of Judgment until it has received the Holy Prophet’s seal of approval (PBUH).
7. We came to the conclusion that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was on the correct path and that He was so kind to the people that even the evil infidels were converted to Islam in accordance with the revelation of the Holy Quran.
8. Because Allah cherished the Holy Prophet (PBUH) so much, He would not let Muslims speak louder than the Prophet (PBUH) himself.
9. Because Allah held the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in such high regard, whatever he commanded became the rule of law for all Muslims worldwide until the Day of Judgment.
